Executive Committee

Act on behalf of board in the daily management of the Institute; act as nominating and finance committees; exercise program and budget approval.

Culinary Events

Develop and implement programs and events celebrating and teaching the culinary traditions of the Serenbe region; collaborate with other organizations, such as the Farmhouse, The Hil, Les Dames, Blue Eyed Daisy, and Serenbe Farms.

Visual Arts

Develop and implement programs in the visual arts, crafts, and environmental arts that enlighten and educate Serenbe’s residents and visitors; work with local artist groups, museums, galleries, and individual artists, as appropriate; develop exhibitions, residencies, classes and other events.

         

Performing Arts

Develop and implement programs in the performing, literary, and media arts; provide support for community events developed by other committees; collaborate with local and regional artists and arts organizations such as the Atlanta Symphony, Alliance Theatre, New River Dramatists Guild, Dunaway Gardens, etc.

Environmental Issues

Develop and implement programs to support, enhance, and protect Serenbe’s natural environment, including the trail and path system, etc.  Recommend policies to the Serenbe homeowners’ association and developer regarding environmental issues; present educational programs on environmental issues; support and collaborate with other environmental, planning and regional organizations, such as CHCA and CHCC, the Montessori School, in protecting the natural environment in the Chatt Hills.

Civic Events

Develop, implement, and coordinate community-wide events in Serenbe, working with homeowners, merchants, the developer and others to make Serenbe an interesting, fulfilling, and welcoming community; develop programs that will inform and educate about the principles of design and community on which Serenbe is built.

Serenbe Fellows

Honor and engage artists, architects, thinkers, educators, and others of unique capacity and value to Serenbe and the principles on which it is founded.

Special Projects

Develop and oversee important community capital projects.

Education

Ensure that the Serenbe Institute and community play meaningful roles in providing educational opportunities in the Chattahoochee Hill Country.
