South Fulton Area Initiative
Enriching Lives in South Fulton
The South Fulton Area Initiative is fully funded by grants and private donations. Without the support provided by the National Endowment for the Arts, Wells Fargo, The Livingston Foundation, Imlay Foundation, Fulton County Arts and Culture, and Greystone Power, this impactful program that touches the lives of thousands of South Fulton residents and communities would not be possible.
Although Serenbe itself is an artistically rich community, the Institute is the only professional resident arts organization within a nearly 30-mile radius. Having identified a need for increased exposure to high-quality programming in these areas and driven by a commitment to expand outreach and engagement, we formed the South Fulton Area Initiative in 2016.
The South Fulton Area Initiative (SFAI) leverages the Serenbe Institute’s artistic, cultural, and environmental programs, as well as strategic partnerships, to enrich lives in South Fulton.
SFAI collaborates with Serenbe Playhouse, Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre, AIR, as well as high-caliber local artists to provide impactful and engaging year-round programming to the South Fulton area. The partner organizations play a key role in helping us to take our programming directly to our community, creating greater accessibility to the low-income communities that we are reaching.
Partner organizations include:
Atlanta-Fulton Public Libraries
Atlanta Parks and Recreation
AREA (Atlanta dance organization)
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta
Fairburn Parks and Recreation
Georgia Baptist Children’s Home
