Connecting Communities

South Fulton Arts is an arts organization founded in 2005 on an ambitious vision of artistically vibrant, environmentally sustainable, and more deeply connected communities, spreading from South Fulton County into the broader Southeast region and beyond. At SFA, we work to embody this vision through our commitment to offering meaningful and accessible programming, cultivating a diverse range of community partnerships, and directly connecting both institutions and individuals with tangible, needs-based resources.

We collaborate with partners including emerging and professional artists, educators and schools, and other institutions and organizations, to offer high-quality, free cultural programming that responds directly to the present needs and future visions of community members. The eight cities that make up the lower slice of Fulton County have been historically excluded and underfunded, in comparison to the northern areas of metro Atlanta. A key part of our mission is to enrich life in South Fulton by increasing access to social offerings and professional opportunities, catalyzing conversations, and bringing experiential and environmental art to the entire landscape of the communities we serve.

SFA highlights, celebrates, and reflects the regional diversity of our community, including our schools and seniors, emerging and established artists, professionals and families. We honor the identities and lived experience of those we serve, and our offerings stay on the pulse of our community by responding directly to the expressed needs of community members themselves. Our relational model of resourcing through partnership and collaboration, rather than transactional funding, supports community members in supporting each other, both today and sustainably into the future.
